This is my version of a home-made cottage pie. It’s one of my favourite meals of all time and is really easy to make. My dad says that it’s really just mashed potatoes and mince but I think it’s so much more!! The mince is mixed with diced carrots, onions and mushrooms and then DRENCHED in a gravy of your choice. Be sure to add plenty of butter and milk to your mashed potatoes to make them extra YUM! The cherry on top off this cake is the crisp golden cheese layer which tucks the meat and potatoes in a warm snug bed of deliciousness. OH YES! You are definitely going to want to go for seconds, and thirds….and you might want the leftovers for lunch the next day.
